Bourbon Street Blues Co. in New Orleans submitted Description

Tourists love this dance club, but at first it's hard to see why. Sure, there's the three-for-one happy hour every evening from 4PM to 7PM, live music, late-night dancing and a balcony with a great view of world-famous Bourbon Street. Frankly though, there are any number of French Quarter bars that offer the same thing. The Bourbon Street Blues Company, however, offers it all at once, along with ample space and cheap booze. The name's a bit of a misnomer: there's precious little real blues emanating from the stage, just funk and R&B from expert local acts. Still, if you're up for drinking and dancing with a slightly older crowd in the center of the tourist universe, you could do worse; just don't expect to get the real flavor of the city here.
